First stop, @therefugemeditation // a beautiful studio and sanctuary where we dived into the vata dosha, practiced a grounding meditation and filled our senses with vata balancing oils! ❤️ Next stop, @coxfarmsmarket to educate the staff on how to use and promote @paavaniayurveda Ayurveda products.   • How many coats do you own? If you’re like me, you might have 2-3, maybe more, that you rotate throughout the season.

I often feel like I have too much and have a deep desire to help others in need.

With winter temperatures dropping, we’ve teamed up with @prana.project and several other local businesses to donate new and gently used coats to our local shelters. We need men’s, women’s, and children’s coats of all sizes to help battered women, homeless families, and at-risk children and adolescents. 🙏🏼 Please consider donating. You can drop off coats at the SimpleVeda office by Friday, Dec. 14th. Help others stay warm this season. ❤️

This morning I whipped up a simple batch of ginger lemon tea to help support my guests digestion. Ginger is one of the main ingredients in an Ayurvedic diet. It is used in most recipes and known for its incredible abilities to help stimulate our digestion. It is a Sattvic spice and is known in Ayurveda as “universal medicine”.

Dry ginger is more pungent than fresh. Fresh ginger is great for increasing agni | digestive fire, it is a diaphoretic, expectorant and excellent for colds, coughs, and nausea. Ginger is also beneficial for arthritic conditions and is a tonic to the heart. It relieves gas, belching and cramps in the abdomen including Vata type menstrual cramps. Externally, this is a great paste for pain and headaches.
