4 Week Yoga Nidra | iRest Series
I am excited to be offering a four part series at The Yoga Movement on iRest Yoga Nidra. iRest (Integrative Restoration) Yoga Nidra is based on the ancient teachings of meditation and a tool and practice for deep relaxation and renewal, paired with a quality of presence that is profoundly healing.
It is easy to feel depleted and scattered in the midst of our busy schedules, with self-care and wellness unintentionally taking a back seat to productivity. Integrative Restoration (iRest) Yoga Nidra is a wonderful toolset and practice for today’s fast-paced life that offers rejuvenation, integration and deep relaxation to its practitioners.
Through iRest Yoga Nidra practice you will lessen anxiety, depression, fear, anger, stress and discover the tools to bring joy, peace, well-being and intention into the forefront of your daily living. You will have a greater ability to relax and enjoy life, reduce insomnia, and diminish chronic and acute pain.
Over the course of four weeks, we will explore the layers of physical, emotional and subtle energy body with increasing refinement. Each class will begin with a short discussion on iRest, the 10-stage protocol, the 7 koshas and its applicability and benefit to daily life. Discussion will lead into gentle stretching and each session will close with a guided iRest Yoga Nidra practice.
Prior iRest or relaxation experience is not required. Come ready to rest and relax! Students can expect to lie down or sit comfortably during the practice using yoga mats, blankets and bolsters (provided).
