SimpleVeda: Ayurveda In Dallas, Texas
Since 2005, Christina Vargas has been teaching yoga and sharing her passion and love for helping others live a harmonious life of balance through self-care and self-love through the lens of yoga and Ayurveda.
As a child, Christina was eager to be in the garden with her grandparents and often would make potpourri and other “medicine mixtures” from her grandmother’s flower garden. Her favorite place in the home was the kitchen and she knew she would be in the healthcare industry one day. It was when she returned from teacher training in 2005 when she was introduced to Ayurveda that her life was changed forever. Discovering this healing science that has been practiced in India for more than 5,000 years was the catalyst for SimpleVeda.
At SimpleVeda, Christina offers one-on-one Ayurvedic consultations, iRest | Yoga Nidra, dyads and meditations, yoga, personal chef services and other forms of Vedic Counseling in which she takes a holistic approach to help clients adjust their lifestyle to achieve balance, reduce stress, and lessen chronic and acute health conditions. She is excited to help clients assess the areas in their lives in which they seek balance most. Through instruction, education, love, and guidance, Christina offers clients personalized service that result in seeing their true Self, their highest potential, living a happier and healthier life according to their true nature – physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Experiencing her own personal healing journey through Yoga and Ayurveda, and how this incredible science has changed her clients’ lives motivates her each day. She is a believer that living an Ayurvedic and Yogic lifestyle is for everyone! Being a mom of two and a practitioner for her community, she knows first-hand how simple and rewarding this lifestyle can be amidst the hustle of life. She will help you understand your unique body type and support you in making simple changes to your diet and daily habits. Clients appreciate her ability to guide and support them through the complex world of diets and fads.
Christina and her husband reside in the Dallas area and have two children, a 13-year-old Weimaraner, and 3 beehives.
Christina graduated from the California College of Ayurveda in 2009, where she studied to be an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner, Ayurvedic Chef, Ayurvedic Herbalist, and Yoga Therapist. Her warmth and knowledge of the Ayurvedic discipline draws people from many communities. Each year she presents to medical residents at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas, helping them realize and make use of the benefits of Ayurveda coupled with modern medicine. Christina is also able to bring greater understanding of Ayurvedic principles to yoga instructors through annual training at The Yoga Movement. Christina’s aim is to empower yoga instructors to help their students live a life of vitality through the inseparable practice of Ayurveda and yoga.
Christina is especially passionate about bringing nourishment and the science of Ayurveda to women in all stages of life; fertility, pre and post-natal as well as menopause. When women are healthy and strong, the entire family and world flourish. The unique nature of each woman requires specific attention and support, Christina endeavors to work alongside women to create a life of radiant health!

The SimpleVeda Team
Nina has been teaching yoga since 2017 and is passionate about health and wellness. Born and raised in Japan, she was surrounded by eastern practices and philosophy. It wasn’t however, until she moved to the states and developed health complications that she began to explore living a holistic lifestyle. This not only changed her diet but her life as well.
Nina began practicing yoga in 2011 and through this was introduced to Ayurveda. She immediately fell in love with the Ayurvedic lifestyle and the wealth of information it holds as a powerful modality to help restore ones health and bring wellness into every aspect of our life. At SimpleVeda, Nina assists with the abyhanga therapies and teaches weekly meditation classes.
Belen was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. She moved to the U.S. at 18 for college. After falling in love with her husband Stephen and moving around the U.S. she landed in Dallas where she discovered her passion for Yoga.
Belen has been a Yoga instructor for almost 3 years, and it was through Yoga that she discovered Ayurveda. Belen was looking for a lifestyle change and help with balancing life. Simpleveda has helped her in numerous ways to achieve that balance through mindfulness practices, ayurvedic nutrition and overall have a healthier lifestyle.
After starting as a client at Simpleveda, Belen jumped at the opportunity to learn more about this beautiful science! You can find her assisting in the herbal department, preparing tinctures and herbal formulations as well as at retreats and workshops. She also assists with the abyhanga therapies. She enjoys helping and guiding people to live a life with ease.
Thank you so much! I truly enjoyed that class. I’ve done a lot of nidra but your iRest style was a real treat beyond what I’ve done before. Look forward to more of your classes.
“Christina was very helpful. In the 8 months or so that I met with her she gave me personalized changes one small step at a time. I believe this is the reason that the practices stuck and truly became “lifestyle changes” instead of fads or overwhelming goals.”
