SimpleVeda offers an intimate studio space for weekly meditation and yoga classes to nourish the DFW area. Yoga and Ayurveda are inseparable sisters of healing disciplines. Ayurveda is considered the science of self-healing and Yoga is the science of self-discovery.  Yoga is part of our Sadhana, daily spiritual practices that support prevention, longevity, and well-being. The term for therapy or treatment in Sanskrit is Chikitsa. Aspects of healing therapy include lifestyle recommendations, diet, herbs, meditation, pranayama, mantras, and of course Yoga. Just as your diet should be individualized, so should your practice of asana. We hope to see you on the mat soon!

iRest |  Yoga Nidra is a research-based transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry. iRest is integrative, in that it heals the various unresolved issues, traumas, and wounds that are present in the body and mind. It is restorative in that it aids its practitioners in recognizing their underlying peace of mind that is always present amidst all changing circumstances of life.

I offer weekly classes and series as well as one-on-one Dyads.  Dyads are a co-meditative experience. With my guidance and support we invite, welcome and inquire into challenging emotions, feelings, and pain to meet what is rising in the present moment from a place of openness and creativity. A dyad is beneficial for those who wish to work through anxiety, depression, chronic or acute pain, and self-limiting beliefs and emotions.

Yoga Therapy

In Ayurveda, your health care is individualized and your yoga practice should be no different. SimpleVeda provides therapeutic yoga asana to cool Pitta, pacify Vata, and stimulate Kapha. These sessions are appropriate for all levels, whether introducing asana into your daily routine or fine-tuning your current practice to neutralize seasonal imbalances. Yoga Asana will be modified for pre and postnatal treatment, injuries, and physical limitations, as these indications can reap great benefit from this therapy.
