If you’ve been feeling called to quiet the noise, realign with your purpose, clear mental clutter, and reconnect with nature, this Ayurveda, meditation, and yoga retreat is for you.
Each day begins in our outdoor shala with meditation, breathwork, and gentle movement guiding you inward to reconnect with your true Self. A vibrant, nourishing breakfast awaits.
Afternoon group classes offer a deep, immersive study of Ayurveda and yoga, combined with mindfulness practices to support living in alignment and accessing your highest potential.
Immerse yourself in nature with sunrise and sunset walks along pristine, mile-long beaches or jungle hikes to secret waterfalls. Adventure lovers can snorkel, take an ATV excursion to a local coffee farm, ride horseback, and soar along one of the tallest and longest ziplines.
You’ll also have an opportunity to immerse in the local culture with a visit to the local farmers, gathering fresh ingredients for a group cooking experience that brings your Ayurvedic knowledge to life.
This retreat is a carefully held container – a space for you to let go, unplug, and reconnect with what matters most: the most important relationship you’ll ever have, the one with yourself.
Ayurveda Health Practitioner | Meditation Teacher | Yoga Therapist
I’m honored you’re here and thrilled to host your retreat in my favorite and truly magical place – Nosara, a BLUE ZONE of Costa Rica. This will be my fifth visit to this extraordinary region, which has become a home for the heart and soul.
I’ve been teaching yoga and meditation for over 22 years, practicing Ayurveda for 16, and leading retreats for more than a decade. While I deeply love working one-on-one with my clients in the clinic, there is something profoundly meaningful about retreating as a group — creating a shared container where we can dive deeply into a lifestyle that has supported so many to heal. I love blending mindfulness practices with Ayurveda, sharing my passion through movement, meditation, and hands-on experiences like Ayurvedic cooking, offering marma therapy, and cultivating a space for learning, growth, nourishment, and transformation.
My intention is to offer classes and experiences that go beyond what you might find at home – practices designed to be transformative, accessible, and easily integrated into your daily life long after the retreat ends. These retreats offer insight and clarity into your heart’s desires, spiritual growth, and well-being, providing gentle structure without rigidity. Mornings flow with mindful movement, meditation, and breath-work, while the rest of the day invites exploration, reflection, and practices that nourish both body and spirit.
I look forward to sharing this experience with you, holding space for you to let go, reconnect, and return fully to yourself in a way that is grounding, restorative, and deeply aligned.
Our retreat is held in a private, gated, ranch-style sanctuary in the heart of Guiones – designed to offer privacy, comfort, and a deeply restorative environment. Surrounded by nature, this intimate setting allows our group to fully unplug, settle in, and experience the retreat as a true immersion rather than a shared resort experience.
We will practice yoga and meditation on the private rooftop shala, surrounded by expansive views and the gentle sounds of the jungle. A serene outdoor meditation and massage platform offers a quiet sanctuary for reflection and to receive optional body treatments onsite.
Wake each day to nature’s rhythms, relax by the pool, and linger in spacious common areas designed for connection, rest, and contemplation. With beautifully appointed private rooms and thoughtfully curated shared spaces, the retreat supports both solitude and community, allowing you to retreat inward or connect with others in a way that feels natural and nourishing.
What makes this setting especially special is the exclusivity: our group is the only group on site. This creates a peaceful, held container where you can truly relax, be supported, and receive personalized attention throughout the week.

Late afternoons will include restorative yoga nidra, guided reflection, and insights into holistic living and Ayurveda.
Toward the end of the week, you’ll have opportunities to participate in sacred ceremonies – such as a traditional cacao ceremony and intention-setting rituals designed to honor your journey and deepen your retreat experien
Savor exquisite, locally sourced, farm-to-table meals prepared by our private chef, thoughtfully crafted to support your energy, digestion, and vitality.
Each day begins with a nourishing breakfast, featuring fresh-squeezed juices, seasonal fruits, and thoughtfully prepared dishes to energize your morning practice.
Dinners are a culinary highlight, presented as elegant four-course meal. Each dish becomes a sensory journey, as your chef shares the origins of the ingredients, the Ayurvedic wisdom behind their use, and how they nourish body, mind, and spirit.
This immersive culinary experience continues with a hands-on Ayurvedic cooking class using ingredients from local farmers, giving you the knowledge and practices to bring this nourishment home, turning everyday meals into moments of vitality and alignment.
This retreat honors the healing power of spaciousness. Built into each day is intentional time for rest, reflection, and integration, so your nervous system has space to settle and your experiences can fully land. Whether you choose to relax by the pool, take a nap, journal, receive bodywork, or simply do nothing at all, this unstructured time is an essential part of the retreat.
These quiet moments in nature – feeling the sun, the ocean air, the sand under your feet, and the rhythm of the jungle, offer a powerful opportunity to return to yourself through simply being.
This is where transformation deepens, not through doing more, but through allowing your body and mind to truly rest.
One of the most meaningful aspects of retreat is the connection — with yourself, with nature, and with the like-minded community around you. Past retreat participants often describe this as a space to let go, grow, and fully embody the practices we explore together.
From exploring local farms and vibrant markets to hands-on Ayurvedic cooking, this retreat invites you to fully immerse in a way of life that supports vitality, connection, and transformation. These shared experiences ground your learning in real, lived moments—bringing Ayurvedic wisdom off the mat and into everyday life.
Together, we gather, cook, learn, and connect, weaving nourishment, culture, and community into an experience that is as meaningful as it is memorable.
The retreat experience is woven through moments of nature, movement, and meaningful ritual. From jungle hikes and ocean swims to traditional ceremonies and intentional rituals, each experience is designed to support release, reflection, and integration.
These moments invite you to step outside of your everyday rhythm and into something more spacious, present, and alive—where nature becomes your teacher and ritual becomes a bridge between insight and embodiment.
In general, flight costs range from $200 to $400 for a one-way trip, varying based on your departure day and city of origin. Larger hubs tend to offer cheaper tickets. For instance, American Airlines provides direct flights from DFW to Liberia. Weekdays usually offer more affordable fares. Many opt to arrive a few days earlier or extend their stay due to the reluctance to leave this amazing place.
Your retreat includes a private retreat campus for 7 nights, 8 days, all-inclusive ground transportation to and from LIR airport, ground transportation around the little beach town with private and shared golf carts, three farm-to-table meals daily, with four course dinners curated by our private chef, wellness teas and snacks throughout the day, daily rituals, yoga and workshops, ceremonies, pool and beach towels, amenities like body wash and shampoo, and concierge service to help plan and arrange optional excursions and additional bodywork therapies – everything you need to relax, learn, and enjoy your time fully.
Flights, flight changes, costs associated with passports, travel insurance, personal expenses, optional excursions like tours or adventures outside the retreat schedule, and any additional bodywork therapies not listed in the retreat program.
Liberia International is the closest airport, about a 2 hour drive (very convenient by Costa Rica standards!). You can also fly into San Jose, and we can arrange a shuttle for you there too. The drive from San Jose is 4 hours (instead of 2), but the roads are mostly paved and the countryside is beautiful. It’s a great adventure!
Our retreat is nestled in a serene, easily accessible area of Costa Rica, just a two-hour drive from Liberia International Airport. Private shuttle transportation to and from the airport will be arranged for you, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure.
While Costa Rica is a Spanish-speaking country, the region is accustomed to international visitors, and many expats call it home. Basic “Spanglish” is generally sufficient to get around comfortably. To make your travel even easier, one of my personal assistants will accompany you and is well-versed in the area, helping guide you throughout your journey.
Costa Rica is very safe, that is one of the reasons why I love it and feel comfortable bringing groups here. The country as a whole is peace promoting (they do not have a standing army), and the people could not be more kind and welcoming. The Costa Rican motto is, after all, “Pura Vida”, meaning pure life. You will hear it spoken often! But we don’t take any chances: for your safety, we will have a guard on the premises every day.
July is their green season, which means that rain is possible. What I have experienced, is brief periods of light rain mid-afternoon, perfect for napping, reading, and journaling! As the rainy season transitions to summer, you get the perfect combination of plush green forest and beautiful days! The weather tends to be warm in the day and slightly cool at night.
Not in my experience. I’ve been to this area 3 times, and in all my experience, the bug situation is not bad! Just a few mosquitos. Nothing a little bug spray can’t handle. And there is a built-in natural bug-repellant system! That being said, we are in Costa Rica, so you will see some interesting critters and monkeys!
Not to worry, most people come solo! It’s the perfect vacation to have on your own. Within days you will feel like you have a new group of friends and a Costa Rican family. And I’ll be with you every step of the way!
Nope! Every year we have people who have never done yoga before, and some who are very experienced. It doesn’t matter where you fall on the spectrum. The yoga I teach is foundational and everyone will benefit.
The difference in price comes down to accommodations, location, time of year, and curriculum. This retreat takes place at a private, luxury ranch home in Costa Rica – a serene, high-energy area that supports deep relaxation, connection, and wellness. The setting is carefully chosen to provide a peaceful, rejuvenating environment, far from crowded retreat centers.
Less expensive options often come with shared spaces, multiple groups, or basic accommodations. At this ranch, every room has a private bathroom, and you will never have to share your room, pool, or studio space with strangers. Staying in a small, private retreat ensures you can fully immerse yourself in the experience and enjoy the benefits of a truly restorative retreat.
We understand that plans may shift, and we strive to offer thoughtful flexibility. Cancellations made more than 90 days before the retreat will receive a full refund of payments made, minus the deposit. Cancellations made between 90 and 61 days prior will receive 50% of payments made, minus the deposit. Cancellations made 60 days or less before the retreat are non-refundable.
There are no exceptions to this policy which allows us to honor the careful planning, vendor partnerships, and intimate experiences we create for every guest.
Travel insurance ensures you are covered should any unexpected event arise such as a personal, political, environmental, health or weather-related incident, or pre-existing medical condition that may prevent or interrupt your travels.

The retreat in Tulum was the perfect atmosphere to escape everyday life, helping to unplug and focus on actually relaxing. The retreat’s location was steps away from the beach providing a beautiful backdrop for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. An added benefit was having fantastic meals prepared by the staff that took into consideration our dietary concerns. Through Christina’s guiding in Tulum, I was able to make connections with old and new friends creating memories that I look back on with fondness.
I can’t speak highly enough of my experience on retreat with Christina in Costa Rica. From the beautiful location to the amazing food, every detail seemed to have been considered with care and intention. I learned a ton, made unexpected friends and came home reinvigorated. What I loved best was the perfect balance of the schedule – a pace blending relaxation, self care and adventure that felt neither rushed nor too slow. Definitely a reset I needed and will be doing again!Making the decision to step away from my duties as a wife and mother for a week of total self-care was the best choice I’ve ever made. I was able to unplug and recharge and came home a much better person that could give my family the absolute best!
Om Away From Home offered me the opportunity to reset the basic tenets of a healthy lifestyle that we tend to ignore in our overly booked home lives. Not having to worry about the details, every meal was delicious as it was nutritious. Freeing up our time to meditate, practice yoga, or just enjoy the gorgeous beach. It was a much-needed breath of fresh air that gave me a new perspective to take on the rest of the year reinvigorated. I’m so looking forward to going back.
The Tulum retreat gave me the time and support to listen to the heart and quiet the mind – Mindfulness made easy! A life changer!
I went on a weekend women’s nourishing retreat hosted by Christina/SimpleVeda. It was very informative and Christina has a wealth of information when learning more about the Ayurvedic practice. She is very approachable and can serve people on any level of their journey to a more holistic way of living.
