Udvartana with Herbal Swedhana

Sanskrit for “elevation” or “to move upward”, Udvartana is a vigorous herbal scrub meant to stimulate and uplift the mind and body. The vigorous strokes are done in a synchronized pattern with two therapists with upward direction, towards the heart, to stimulate lymphatic and arterial circulation. This therapy activates the body’s metabolism, energizes the senses and leaves the skin feeling soft and silky. During this therapy, various types of herbal powders are used such as amla, triphala, sandalwood, barley, sugar or coffee scrubs are used and is chosen by the practitioner based on the desired action and results needed for healing. After the treatment, the client will enjoy a luxurious herbal steam and sweat therapy designed to awaken the senses and release toxins.

Due to the length of appointments, if you cancel your appointment you’re inhibiting the ability of others to take this appointment. We ask that if you need to cancel or reschedule that you do so with ample notice. Please call by 10 a.m. two (2) working days prior to your scheduled appointment. If an appointment is canceled after 10 a.m. two (2) working days prior to your scheduled appointment you will be charged 50% of the scheduled service. If appointments are canceled the same day, the full amount of the service will be charged. No refunds, returns, or exchanges.
