How I keep colds at bay the Ayurvedic way

These 7 rituals have been the must-haves in my routine since I started Ayurveda, and they’re even more important now that the ‘ick season is in full swing.

  1. Nasya It sounds counterintuitive, but putting oil in your nose each morning locks in moisture so your sinuses don’t overproduce mucus!
  2. NetiSalt water neti rinses help flush allergens, dust, and early-stage infection before they take hold and bring on the ‘icks!
  3. Tongue Scraper – One scrape removes up to 75% of the bacteria that causes bad breath! And tongue scraping helps with morning eliminations 😜
  4. Oil Pulling SwishOil pulling not only freshens your breath but also helps reduce inflammation throughout your entire body!
  5. Eye Wash Ritual This rituals soothes irritation from screen time, allergies, and as a bonus – can even reduce dark circles under your eyes!
  6. Abhyanga OilMassaging warm oil into your skin each day actually strengths immunity, boosts lymph flow, and can lower cortisol!
  7. Dry Brush Dry brushing activates lymph flow, which helps your immune system clear waste and fight infection.
