Welcome to SimpleVeda!

Welcome to SimpleVeda! I’m honored you’re here!

SimpleVeda emerged from a passion for nurturing and empowering others to learn the potential for deep Self-healing. Veda in sanskrit means “knowledge” or “wisdom”. I created SimpleVeda as a reminder that living mindfully, and living a healthy lifestyle is ‘simple wisdom’. Sometimes we just need a little guidance along the way.

My personal journey began in 2003 as I stepped into my first yoga class. Yoga for me, as for many, was a form of exercise and like many, it became so much more than that. It was a journey that increased my awareness and my potential for healing chronic digestive imbalances. In 2005 I embarked on my first yoga teacher training. I began to study each of the limbs of yoga and thus dived deep into the studies at the school of metaphysics, where I discovered a deeper spiritual path while continuing to apply Ayurveda to my daily lifestyle. I self-studied Ayurveda for 3 years while developing a deep love for daily meditations, yoga, and eating the Ayurveda way. I begin teaching my students what I was learning and we were all benefiting from this. I was fascinated, intrigued, and eager to go deeper.

In 2009 I graduated from the California College of Ayurveda in Grass Valley, CA where I learned the pathway of mental and physical disease manifestation and the ancient protocols of healing through herbal therapy, nutritional therapy, meditation, and many forms of Vedic healing.  Along with my yoga teacher trainings, it was the most life-changing journey I’ve been on. Living Ayurveda has improved my health and gifted me with the knowledge to support my family in eating and living well.  I feel so fortunate to be teaching this to my 2-year-old son who doesn’t even realize it!

In today’s society, we are inundated with responsibilities and the amount of stress on American’s is gross. Every day we get caught up in the dramas of life and we get lost.  Ayurveda is THE pathway to find your true Self. Ayurveda creates a balanced life; it will help you to slow down while continuing to live your dharma. Ayurveda will answer those glowing questions; where am I going and how will I get there? Ayurveda will support you in living a more present and joyful life and lead to clarity, compassion, and acceptance.

I often think of the many teachers and mentors I have had along the way and am so grateful to each and every one of them for their guidance and patience. My intention is to continue to do as they did and continue to pass the beautiful knowledge, and heartfelt joy of yoga and Ayurveda to everyone in my community. I invite you to connect with me as I post Ayurveda and Yoga related topics, recipes, and more! If you feel empowered, come see me for a consultation or ayurvedic body therapy.

In Divine Health,

Christina
